Dear stupid fucks that want to rent out their apartments in Toronto,
I have a news flash for you. If, after you have advertised your flat/apartment on a website, or even put up a sign outside the building advertising the vacancy, how about you answer your fucking phone calls and emails.
I have sent out about 20 email requests and about 10-15 phone messages, and I have lost count of the number of phone numbers that just ring out. I had to get out of the car earlier, as I was liable to smash the fucking thing, as it was the nearest inanimate object I could hurt that belonged to me (kind of - its a rental). I have spent the entire bastard morning trawling mind-crushingly tedious websites whose design needs a nuclear bomb to fix the usability, emailing people again after three days with no responses (or at least from none of the ones I really wanted) and I am still none the wiser. I have spent the afternoon - having been left with no option other than sit and wait - of driving around the areas I like at 20mph looking for adverts on the front of people's houses with numbers on. That then, of fucking course, ring out. And try that during school chucking out time and see how many looks you get, as you cruise past all the young kids, staring at the houses behind them. That should help my rental references.
The only ones that actually answered the phone was the girl that told me her flat was gone, and the guy that wanted to charge over $1K a month for someone really quiet to live above his elderly mothers flat, and who would not need to park their car over the weekend, as they need the space for the carer, and that you will be quiet, won't you...?
Gah, it's driving me fucking mental. I am sat, right now, on the side of the road leeching bandwidth to check cragslist and all the other sites for activity. It's not that I can't fond places I like, it's that I can't get anywhere near them to see them.
Fuck fuck fuckity cuntballs.
Edit: And now it has gone dark, I have to go home and wait to see if the emails arrive, as i can't read the signs anymore. Oh good.
