Audio: Share a song that reminds you of a current or past relationship.
Hmmm. A long time ago. Something like 15 years ago. And, you know what? About 4 or 5 years ago, it very, very nearly became 'just another song'. Nearly. I suspect it will never separate that link, though. It was sufficiently closely tied with my (probably first real) relationship, that even a year or so ago, one of my closest friends (as he went to test his Hi-Fi installation with it) turned to me, paused, and said "Er. You ok with me playing this?".
I was very much surprised that he remembered. Almost shocked. And it made me appreciate him more as a friend (although I am totally incapable of ever expressing that other than in oblique, anonymous ways like this) and went some way to helping, oddly.
It will, however, always mean her. Part of me hopes it always does. Part of me wonders if that is because of, for the most part, I was so angry with myself for being so utterly unable to cope with the relationship at the time.
Regrets, as Mr Sinatra says, I've had a few.
